For anyone that knows me, you know that my dog Bailey is like my first born. I have had him almost 12 years and I am so attached to that dog. Yesterday, he was running in the back yard and now has a slipped disc in his back. (He's a little overweight too--but happy nonetheless.) After two trips to the vet already, we have to take him to a specialist in the morning and he'll have to have surgery to repair this. Now would be a great time for the money tree to appear and bloom!! He's so pitiful too. He can't move his back legs at all so he just lays around looking sad. I feel so bad for him. The pain medication doesnt seem to help him much at all.
On a happier note, Peyton's class has a field trip today to the Cannon Center to see "Alexander and The Horrible, Terrible, No Good, Very Bad Day". It was very cute. That is a terrific book and I can truly relate with Alexander most days it seems. Then we went to Freeman Park in Bartlett so the kids could eat lunch and play. We got there and just finished eating when the bottom fell out of the sky. The kids were disappointed but the ones that had parents there with them, got to go home.
Everyone please pray for Bailey and let's hope that he gets feeling better very soon. I don't think my pocketbook can take many more trips to the vet either.
