Who doesn't love a coffee table with drawers? I found this one a while back. It's been in my garage forever. I finally got it out, dusted it off and painted it. I painted the body with two costs of Paris Grey and the top is Graphite. The body has clear and dark wax and is distressed. The top just got a lot of dark wax.
I bought some new hardware that was solid black and I painted and waxed it to match. It's new owner will be coming to get it soon.

Aubusson End Table
I found this end table for sale a while back. They were asking $50 for it and calling it a coffee table. It stayed for sale for a while. They reduced it to $10 so I bought it.
Half of the front leg was missing, the side had been chewed up and the drawer slide was missing, none of this was mentioned in the post. My dad worked very hard to build the leg exactly like it was and he did a great job. I bought a new drawer slide and glide for it. The glide was 1" too short. No joke! So my dad came to the rescue again and built a new one. I painted it Aubusson and put Graphite on the front decorative piece. A friend of mine bought it and I hope she loves it. A lot of hard work went into this one.

Something a little different
I recently bought some Martha Stewart stencils and I was dying to try them out on a piece of furniture. I had three of these old tables just waiting for some kind of makeover. So I painted one of them with ASCP Graphite. I used Old White and stenciled the design on top and bottom then I put dark wax all over the whole table. What do you think?

Sofa Table
I have been buying a lot of old, ugly furniture lately. I can see the potential in just about anything. This piece was very, well, um.... ugly honestly.

I painted it with Annie Sloan Graphite chalk paint and then applied clear & dark waxes to it. I gave it some beautiful new hardware and WAHLAH! It's gorgeous now! Usually when I paint a piece of furniture, it's something someone owns and they bring it to me to custom paint for them. When I'm not doing that though, I paint these pieces that I buy and resell them after their fabulous makeovers.
This sofa table is 42" wide x 17" deep x 26-1/2" tall and is for sale for $125. (Accessories not included)

Dresser Makeover ASCP Graphite
I worked all weekend on this one piece of furniture. It was in pretty bad shape and in need of a serious makeover. I even had to call my dad over with his belt sander to help out.

We sanded down the top, removing the veneer, did the same on the sides of the top, did a lot of repairs (gluing, nailing, cleaning, etc..) then it was ready to paint.

I brought it inside to paint on Sunday because it was cold out in the garage. This was my first time painting with the Graphite paint. I didn't research it enough before I painted with it obviously. The first coat was dark gray. The second coat was just a darker gray. Then I read about it on Annie Sloan's website. The key to this paint is the dark wax. After a coat of clear wax and then dark wax, it turns into a beautiful slate color.
This is what the drawers looked like after two coats of paint, a coat of clear wax and a coat of dark wax. The bottom drawer is what they look like with just the graphite paint. HUGE difference!!

Here's the before picture again

And here is the end result! I think it turned out great. I cleaned up the original hardware and put contact paper in the drawers because they were stained inside.
