We arrived at the airport a little before 5 this morning for our 6:15 flight to Atlanta. On the way, we got a call from Delta saying the flight had been delayed til 6:45. While we were waiting at the gate they needed volunteers to take a later flight because ours was overbooked. Since I booked Graham's ticket separately from ours, he had a boarding pass but we did not. After dealing with the lady at the desk for a while and trying to explain to we that we were all together, we finally got boarding passes. They didn't have any seats left in coach so Peyton and I are in first class. Darn-ha! Poor graham is stuck in the back with an annoying kid behind him though.
After we finally boarded at 6:30, they said there was a problem with the plane and they were waiting on a part to fix it. After much more waiting we pulled out of the gate. Then they came on and told us we had to wait another 7 minutes before takeoff. Peyton hasn't seemed excited about flying until moments before takeoff. He was beaming from ear to ear when we did though.
This is our first time in first class and the snacks are a lot better up here, I must say.
Now I'm sure we will miss our next flight in Hotlanta so we will have more drama when we get there.
