Aubusson Dresser

A friend of mine needed a dresser for her sons big boy room. I had the perfect piece of furniture!! She wanted it blue and we decided Aubusson was the perfect color for it. After a lot of repair work, I painted the whole thing with two coats of Aubusson. I painted the inside with Emperor's Silk. The outside got clear and dark wax and some distressing. The inside got clear wax but the inside drawer got a special treatment. I painted it blue first then two coats of Emperor's Silk and distressed it so the blue would show through. Then I sanded it until it was smooth as a baby's bottom. I think it's going to look great in his new room!!
